Job Description
Provides technical assistance to review, evaluate, plan, approve and inspect various types of utility capital projects. Supervises water treatment plant and staff.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in civil engineering, utility management, business, or a closely related field
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible utility project engineering experience that includes experience with AutoCAD, and MS Project
- Effective oral and written communication
- Managing the field implementation of contractors
- Ability to do conceptual estimating based on schematic design and project estimates based on utility documents
- Well-organized with the ability to multi-task
- Good problem-solving skills
- Effective time management
- Problem-solving techniques
- Ability to understand architectural, structural, and mechanical plans
- Operating a personal computer and applicable software including but not limited to: MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, Visio
