Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our growing engineering team to develop a range of ISO 26262 compliant automotive electronics products. You will be part of a highly capable team split between Cambridge (UK) and Toronto (Canada) and will have the opportunity to be involved in all stages of product development from concept through to end of life.

What You Will Do

Support architectural development of electronic systems, requirements capture for electronics hardware, detailed schematic capture, design analysis using appropriate methods, creation of PCB layout guidelines, commissioning, verification and validation testing of the hardware, and appropriate documentation of the designs.

Requirements

• 5-10 years experience in automotive or similar regulated industry
• Architectural development of electronic systems
• Circuit design including H-bridge solenoid, motor and inductive load interfaces, high and low-side MOSFET switches, current sensing and measurement, common op-amp circuits, microcontrollers with integrated peripheral functions, 'external-world' analogue and digital interfaces, communications interfaces, power supplies
• Design commission and debug, PCB design, layout and routing using third-party layout resources, analogue circuit simulation for analysis and performance prediction, document creation including specifications, design descriptions, design & test reports
• First degree or higher qualification in electronics engineering or a closely related discipline
