Dean of Law and Criminology

Murdoch University seeks a Dean of Law and Criminology to lead the School of Law and Criminology, a nationally and internationally recognised centre of teaching, research and engagement. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to justice, inclusion and public purpose, and will be responsible for academic quality, people leadership, performance, culture and reputation.

Requirements

• Respected academic leader with credibility, judgement and interpersonal capability
• Record of scholarly or professional achievement appropriate to appointment at Associate Professor or Professor level
• Experience in academic leadership, people management and governance within complex organisations
• Ability to set and deliver a clear, future-focused academic strategy
• Collaborative style and effective communication skills
• Strong commitment to student-centred values, equity and inclusion, academic integrity and public purpose
