Murfreesboro Medical Clinic is seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Tech to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist in patient care, perform various eye-related clinical functions, and work closely with ophthalmologists to provide high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Obtains medical histories from patients
• Administers diagnostic tests
• Measures and records vision
• Administers eye medications
• Maintains optical and surgical instruments
• Assists in office surgical procedures
• Sets up, stocks, and equips exam and procedure rooms
• Sterilizes and cleans rooms and equipment after each use
• Notifies patients of test results
• Maintains task list and clears it daily
• Provides support in the department when necessary
• Can be crossed trained to cover scheduling surgeries and answering incoming calls
• Knowledgeable of and adheres to all MMC policies and procedures
• Assists patients in waiting room to exam room
• Answers patient questions
• Coordinates patient scheduling
• Supervises and trains other ophthalmic personnel
