Job Description
Mustang Cat is seeking an experienced Component Shop Heavy Equipment Technician with a focus on powertrain systems. The role is critical to disassembling, inspecting, rebuilding, and testing Caterpillar powertrain components for both machine and industrial applications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications preferred
- Must own proper tools to perform necessary repairs
- Strong knowledge of Caterpillar powertrain systems
- Hands-on experience with failure analysis and precision measuring tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service schematics
- Familiarity with dynamometer testing and related diagnostic equipment
- Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting abilities
