Job Description
Mustang Cat is hiring a Staff Accountant to support financial operations and reporting for their Houston-based Accounting team. The role focuses on used machinery sales, inventory reconciliation, and financial analysis for internal departments and partnership entities.
Requirements
- Perform costing and inventory reconciliations for Used Machinery sales
- Report and file Heavy Equipment Inventory Tax (HEIT) and Motor Vehicle Inventory Tax (MVIT) monthly
- Reconcile Accounts Receivable, Notes Receivable, and Bad Debt Allowance accounts
- Maintain and reconcile Miscellaneous Accruals
- Handle accounting for select partnership entities
- Prepare monthly gross profit and expense analysis for Used Machinery and partnership divisions
- Assist with general ledger, internal reporting, and month-end close activities
- Support financial analysis and audit preparation as needed
