Direct Support Professional

MSS is a private, nonprofit community program committed to creating customized services and supports for people with disabilities. We are looking for a Direct Support Professional who thrives in a team environment, enjoys providing quality life experiences for people with developmental disabilities, and is dedicated to helping others to identify and reach their life goals.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must accurately read and implement individual plans, medication instructions etc.
• Must accurately record behavior of persons served and complete required forms
• Must relate well with people with disabilities and with individuals with diverse backgrounds
• Must be qualified for employment in a Day Services Facility as determined by the MN DHS
• Must pass other background checks as required by MSS and/or state and federal law
• Must be able to lift and transfer adults with physical disabilities, using mechanical lifts and other methods identified as appropriate for a participant
