Join Metrolinx as a Project Manager, Signalling to lead and provide management and oversight to corridor capital infrastructure projects across the network from concept to completion. The role involves planning, coordinating, and delivering railway signaling projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope.
Requirements
- Completion of a degree in Applied Science, Engineering, or a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience providing comprehensive project management services associated with the planning, design, and delivery of Train Control System, station infrastructure, and related work is an asset
- Project management principles and practices, including budget and schedule controls, to lead and direct cross functional teams and consultants engaged in simultaneous projects
- Experience with vendor management to evaluate project tenders and review consultant proposals.
- Knowledge of budgetary processes and cost and schedule management
- Knowledge of railway corridor infrastructure and related construction projects
- Problem solving skills to analyze issues and provide solutions during the project lifecycle.
- Influencing skills to establish effective working relationships, negotiate, and deal with a variety of contacts, both internal and external to the organization; along with the ability to gain cooperation from individuals not under direct authority.
- Interpersonal and oral/written/presentation skills to present complex and/or new ideas with clarity and simplicity to liaise with all levels within the organization and on construction sites.
