SCIENTIST II, GENOMIC TECHNOLOGIES, DISCOVERY

AbbVie is seeking a Genomic Technology expert to join the Discovery organization's Genomics Research Center. The successful candidate will be part of a growing core technology team dedicated to running centralized genomic technology platforms.

Requirements

• MS in molecular biology, genomic sciences or a related field with 5+ years of experience, or BS with 7+ years of experience
• Strong record of hands-on experience and technical knowledge of genomic profiling technologies
• Experience being part of a centralized technology group is desirable
• Industry experience is desired but willing to consider individuals with equivalent years of experience in academic or non-industry research settings
• Expert and detailed knowledge of genomic sample processing, sample QC, genomic profiling data QC and analytical methods
• Familiarity with LIMS, sample tracking and workflow optimization
• High attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of teams
• Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment and to independently carry forward multiple projects in parallel
