7 - 12th Grade Science - Biology teacher

Mystic Valley Regional Charter School is seeking a full-time Biology teacher to deliver the Biology program in Grades 7–12, including Core Knowledge and IB coursework. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze data, assess student performance, and adjust instruction accordingly
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Deep content knowledge in biology
• Experience designing and implementing lab-based instruction
• Ability to plan and deliver lessons aligned with school and curricular goals
• Successful completion of applicable MTEL exams within one year of employment
