Job Description
The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of Buyers to drive cost out of the business, providing excellent vendor service, and ensuring purchasing methodologies are up to date. The role also involves providing technical expertise, assisting with major negotiations, and managing day-to-day procurement activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years' work experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or related field
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or relevant field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, policies, procedures, and systems
- Solid knowledge of procurement technical standards and practices
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills
- High proficiency in use of on-line, remote entry purchasing system and computer programs including Excel, Word, and the Internet
