Job Description
The Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician ensures reliable and efficient operation of power plant systems, including combined cycle combustion turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and auxiliary equipment such as air compressors, steam turbines, and condensers.
Requirements
- Perform startup, shutdown, and normal operation of plant systems
- Operate and monitor auxiliary systems
- Observe, log, and analyze equipment parameters
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation issues
- Install, calibrate, test, and maintain instrumentation and control equipment
- Assist in the installation, replacement, and testing of electrical components
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on plant equipment, buildings, and structures
- Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and outages
- Maintain accurate records and logs of maintenance actions
- Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders
- Participate in internal and external switching, tagging, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Follow all facility safety policies, environmental regulations, and standard operating procedures
