The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) is looking for a Research Assistant to undertake the development of new photopolymers and biomaterials, with responsibilities including synthesis, characterization, project management, and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Materials-, Organic- or Polymer Chemistry from an internationally accredited institution.
- Minimum one year of industrial or academic research experience in polymer research, materials science, or adhesives.
- Skills relating to photochemistry, photoinitiators, free radical polymerization, vat polymerization.
- Familiar with polymer characterization techniques such as SEC, XPS, NMR, FTIR
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong initiatives.
- Evidence of project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong record of scientific publications in high impact academic journals.
