Research Associate (Materials Science/Agronomy/Plants Science)

The School of Materials Science and Engineering at NTU is seeking a Research Associate to support a project on sustainable growing media for urban farming applications. The role involves experimental scale-up, farm operations, and project coordination in a multidisciplinary research project.

Requirements

• Assist in scaling up production of growing media
• Support experimental work and field tests
• Support maintenance of offsite research facility
• Plan and manage project scheduling, budget, establish forecasts, and monitor expenditure against budget
• Manage/control project risks & mitigating actions
• Lead and coordinate engagement with various key stakeholders
• Prepare/consolidate periodic reports
• Oversee claims, procurement, and asset management
• Manage logistical issues and laboratory inventory
• Ensure compliance with health and safety
• Support the planning, organising and managing research events
