Research Fellow (Computer Science)

Young and research-intensive, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) is seeking a motivated and capable Research Fellow to lead the development of a Large Language Model (LLM)-based smart assistant system for automotive equipment maintenance. The successful candidate will guide research direction, collaborate with a team of researchers, and develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent research experience and accomplishments.
• Strong programming skills with experience in software development.
• Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science techniques.
• Demonstrated research capability, evidenced by publications, conference papers, patents, or equivalent outputs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct innovative and impactful research.
• Ability to develop research hypotheses and design appropriate experimental methodologies.
• Experience in designing and implementing experimental or prototype systems.
• Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary and diverse team environments.
• Openness to learning and applying new technologies and research approaches.
• Ability to manage project timelines and provide progress updates.
• Willingness to work flexibly in alignment with project needs, where required.
