Job Description
The Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) is seeking a Research Fellow to optimize silica glass additive manufacturing parameters and conditions, focusing on characterization and determining optimal parameters for optical and mechanical properties.
Requirements
- PhD in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong foundation in glass materials, particularly silica and related glass systems, with understanding of structure-property relationships.
- Hands-on experience in additive manufacturing (AM) and materials processing.
- Expertise in materials characterization techniques, including UV-Vis spectroscopy, optical band gap analysis, XRD, FTIR, and microhardness testing.
- Experience in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of results.
- Proven track record of scientific publications and conference presentations.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and research project execution skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
