Job Description
The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) is seeking a Research Fellow to support research activities in nonlinear optics, spectroscopy, metrology, and random lasing related projects.
Requirements
- PhD in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics or a similar discipline
- Previous experience in optics, nonlinear optics, random lasing, optical measurement technologies, spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and metrology
- Expertise in handling and maintenance of high-power CW and pulsed laser systems, spectrometers, high-resolution cameras, and delicate optical components
- Good programming, optical instrumentation, automation, and data processing skills
