Chief Engineer (Commercial)

National Development seeks a Chief Engineer to lead engineering team, supervise, guide, and coordinate team members for over a million square feet of office and retail space in Burlington, Massachusetts. The Chief Engineer will set technical direction, oversee maintenance and engineering, and ensure excellent service for tenants and owners.

Requirements

• Set and communicate engineering strategy, vision, and roadmap for the portfolio
• Lead, directly supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers and service providers
• Oversee and optimize property maintenance, building systems, and vendor management operations
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance and sustainability programs
• Track and improve energy efficiency
• Act as the primary escalation point for emergencies and major system overhauls
• Collaborate closely with property management and other business units
• Manage emergencies and promptly address urgent work orders
• Deliver exceptional customer service and act professionally with tenants and team members
