Job Description
The Senior Program/Policy Specialist/Analyst will work with the Teacher Quality department to support NEA's strategic objective of promoting public confidence in public education by developing, implementing, and improving digital professional learning programs. This role requires knowledge of teaching and learning, teacher quality, education improvement, professional learning, and digital professional learning tools. The incumbent will collaborate with staff within and outside the Center for Professional Excellence and Student Learning to manage digital professional learning products and build capacity within NEA systems, professional learning organizing, and NEA member needs and interests.
Requirements
- An advanced degree (Master's degree or Doctorate) in Education, Public Policy, or other discipline related to the position
- Experience using adult learning theory to develop and/or deliver effective, engaging, and research-based training, presentations, and resources for education professionals
- Knowledge and use of improvement science
- Previous work experience maintaining partnerships with key organizations, including NEA affiliates
- Occasional work extended hours on evenings and weekends
- Occasional travel required (20 – 60 overnights per year)
