Counsel (Finance and Complex Risk Transfer)

Nationwide is seeking a Counsel (Finance and Complex Risk Transfer) to provide legal support for Corporate Treasury and Corporate Financial Transactions. The successful candidate will work closely with a cross-functional legal team on a wide range of sophisticated transactions.

Requirements

• JD from an American Bar Association-accredited law school
• Six or more years of relevant legal experience
• Demonstrated business acumen and ability to work effectively across functions and with diverse stakeholders
• Prior experience with debt issuances, credit facilities, treasury transactions, and/or reinsurance transactions
• Strong analytical skills and sound business judgment
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong relationship-building, and collaboration skills
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward
• Willingness and intellectual curiosity to learn new areas and adapt to evolving priorities
• Ability to lead, initiate, organize, and coordinate complex projects
