Job Description
The Cost Accountant provides accounting expertise and financial support for manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and variance analysis. This position works collaboratively with Operations and Finance, supporting monthly close, reconciling inventory and WIP, and maintaining financial integrity of the cost structure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA/CPA/CMA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing finance
- Strong understanding of manufacturing job costing and cost of goods accounting
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred)
- Proven skills in reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial close processes
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general financial reporting tools
