Job Description
The Animal Welfare Specialist I position supports the health and well-being of animals at the Nebraska Humane Society by performing daily cleaning and sanitation tasks, providing care for animals, and assisting with animal retrievals and training volunteers.
Requirements
- High school Diploma or GED
- Affection and compassion for animals
- Ability to safely and humanely handle animals
- Ability to respectfully give and receive feedback
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Ability to work in close proximity of others
- Ability to work around all types of animals without allergic reaction
