Phlebotomist - Casual - Afternoons/Evenings

We are looking for a Phlebotomist to assist in the daily workload by performing assigned tasks, including collecting and preserving blood samples and other body fluids for analysis. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, general educational development (GED) or equivalent, and 6 months of phlebotomy experience that qualifies for American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification.

Requirements

• Performs duties of a Phlebotomist to assist in the daily workload by performing assigned tasks.
• Assists in daily workload.
• Maintains compliance with established processes: turn-around time expectations, collecting and handling specimens, proper documentation of sample collection.
• Communicates efficiently by answering telephones, taking messages, and forwarding information or calls to appropriate staff.
• Identifies problems and initiate immediate follow-up as necessary with the Phlebotomy Leadership or designee to ensure accurate, timely laboratory services.
• Participates in Continuing Education.
