Physical Designer, Substations

The Physical Designer will assist in the detailed design of substations and conventional generation, produce physical substation packages, and work collaboratively with engineering teams.

Requirements

• Assists in detailed design of substation and conventional generation, as needed
• Produces physical substation packages including general arrangements, elevations, bill of materials, conduit, grounding, lightning protection, and illumination
• Selects hardware for appropriate applications
• Works effectively as part of a team or independently with oversight
• Maintains high ethical and professional standards within the overall organization
• Attends conferences, training workshops, seminars, and classes as appropriate for professional advancement and to maintain quality of work
• Attends safety training and follows safety rules and guidelines
• Other duties as assigned
