On-Call Pharmacy Technician

Requirements

• Create pharmacy charts for patients establishing care with NHC Pharmacy
• Enter and update patient information in the pharmacy record for pharmacist review
• Assist the pharmacist on duty in filling prescription orders accurately and efficiently
• Deliver prescriptions to patients' homes after pharmacist counseling and release
• Enter and bill pharmacy insurance plans for dispensed prescriptions
• Coordinate and schedule prescription deliveries to patients
• Collect payment from patients for dispensed prescriptions when required
• Maintain on-site pharmacy inventory and associated records
• Order, receive, and check in medications and supplies from vendors
• Review stock and remove expired medications in compliance with policy
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries to the pharmacist on duty as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
