Job Description
The Neighborhood House Association is seeking a Teacher Assistant Trainee (Substitute) to aid in the instruction of children under the supervision of the Site Supervisor. The position involves creating and maintaining a safe learning environment, working with children, parents, and community, and demonstrating effective communication skills.
Requirements
- Knowledge of computers and related software programs
- Ability to work effectively with children, parents, family, and community
- Regular, consistent attendance
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Sensitivity to the needs of culturally and ethnically diverse groups
- Second language desirable
