Job Description
New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center is seeking a warm and empathetic Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for a full-time hybrid position with flexible scheduling. The role involves providing advanced clinical psychiatric nursing care, including medication management, diagnostic testing, and crisis intervention.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner program
- Currently licensed in New York State as a psychiatric nurse practitioner
- Currently certified with the DEA to prescribe medication
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (not required but preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines
- Excellent assessment, diagnostic and psychopharmacological treatment skills
- Strong clinical skills working with individuals with mental illness
- Dedication to team-based care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
