Job Description
Newark Academy is seeking a dynamic Math teacher to join our Math Department for the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching mathematics and a demonstrated capacity to embrace student-centered, skills-focused, and culturally competent practices.
Requirements
- Experience teaching math in middle school, upper school, or higher education settings
- Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree is preferred
- Experience working with and supporting a diverse community of students, parents, and colleagues
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience working in independent schools is preferred but not required
- Flexibility to work on a rotating block schedule
