Senior Engineer, Compute & System Administration

We are looking for a Senior Engineer with advanced Windows server and domain experience combined with cloud support experience to join our EMEA Compute team on a full-time permanent basis. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, enabling effective dialogue with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• 7 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering (AWS or Azure) developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform in a mixed Windows / Linux environment
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills with an ability to communicate with impact
• High emotional intelligence, inspiring team collaboration
• Good experience with AWS or Azure cloud technologies, cloud operations, security concepts, infrastructure as code, networking, storage, virtualisation
• Experience of automating cloud and server operations with Ansible
• Experience in scripting and programming technologies such as: Terraform, PowerShell, Python, Bash, Yaml etc,
• Experience of the ITIL framework and use of associated platforms such as ServiceNow for Change, Incident and Problem management etc
• Hands on experience with AWS or Azure technology services; Identity, Networking, Compute, Storage, Web, Containers, Databases, Serverless, Kubernetes (AKS/ECS)
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Knowledge of networking concepts, technologies, and protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS
• Experience of supporting the day-to-day operations delivered by the internal engineering teams, whilst also supporting new project initiatives and technology solutions
