Blood Bank Supervisor- Transfusion Medicine - Full Time - Nights

The Blood Bank Supervisor- Transfusion Medicine will optimize clinical laboratory expertise in supervising technical and support staff while assisting the lab manager in regulatory, personnel, technical and financial activities. The position involves providing technical expertise and leadership to a technologist team performing laboratory procedures, maintaining inventory blood and blood products, and interacting with a collegial team that encourages innovative thinking.

Requirements

• Three (3) years of laboratory supervisory or lead experience
• ASCP certification
• Masters Degree
• Bachelor of Science Degree
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License from New York Education Department or Certificate of Qualification
• Minimum of 4 years of clinical laboratory experience or 2 years of clinical laboratory experience with Master’s degree or 1 years of experience with a MD, DO or doctoral degree in a chemical, physical or biological science
• Meets all requirements of the New York State Department of Education for a Laboratory Supervisor
• Computer literacy and experience in utilization of laboratory computer systems
• Experience with computerized spreadsheets, Word Processors and other statistical and financial programming
