Job Description
WKRG-TV / wkrg.com is seeking a News Intern for the Summer 2026 program. The internship is an in-person opportunity to learn about journalism and the media industry, improve craft and presentation skills, and develop professional work samples.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a university
- Majoring in fields of study including Journalism, Broadcasting, Digital Content, English, Creative Writing, Literature, Pre-Law, Political Science, and Criminal Justice
- Familiarity with AP style & standards for text articles and broadcast scripts
- Basic working understanding of timeline-based software editing programs like Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro
- Ability to capture video, natural sound, and interviews on a phone or camera
