Newscast Producer

Nexstar Media Inc. is seeking a News Producer to create strong and well-paced newscasts for a newly formed duopoly in the Washington, DC Market. The Producer will work with newsroom leadership, anchors, and production team to showcase big story coverage, breaking news, and weather.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Minimum two years’ experience in news operations
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Flexibility to work any shift
