Education Manager

The Education Manager oversees the implementation of evidence-based instructional practices to improve teaching and learning in Early Head Start and Head Start Charter classrooms.

Requirements

• Be committed to the vision and mission of Next Door and Early Head Start/Head Start in the state of Wisconsin.
• Monitor assigned classroom staff and provide ongoing feedback on performance.
• Maintain attendance records and adjust work schedules as necessary.
• Ensure an attractive, safe, and healthy learning environment.
• Supervise the daily job performance of all members of the teaching staff and classroom volunteers/interns.
• Review and critique weekly lesson plans and ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Conduct CLASS observations and participate in debriefs with the Instructional Coach and teachers.
• Assume responsibility of Site Director during times of Site Director absences.
• Facilitate reflective supervision for direct reports.
• Collaborate with the Local Evaluation Partner in the design and implementation of a Research Program Partnership Agreement.
• Directly supervise eight to ten classroom education staff depending on enrollment.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
