Garment Technologist - Jersey

We have an exciting opportunity for a Garment Technologist to join our very talented Technical team. As a Garment Technologist - Jersey, you will own the technical development across the Jersey department, working closely with our Buying and Design teams to proactively manage quality assurance and identify any manufacturing or performance risks and escalate these. You will apply knowledge and understanding of product construction, fabric / yarn capabilities, finishes and performance, print and embellishment techniques, fabric testing and test report evaluation to achieve a great product.

Requirements

• Experienced Garment Technologist with jersey experience across womenswear, working at a high street fashion retailer
• Able to work in a busy fast paced environment, adaptable and not afraid of change
• Proficient with the use of excel and comfortable with the use of other internal systems
• Demonstrable experience of fabric testing and test report evaluation across multi product
• Experience in dealing with a broad supply base, including overseas suppliers
• Proficient at building effective relationships, communicating and engaging with colleagues and suppliers at all levels
• Someone who will take a proactive approach to all aspects of your work, with an emphasis on continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve the business
