Sr. Natural Gas Trader

NextDecade is seeking a Senior Natural Gas Trader to manage physical natural gas trading positions across Texas markets, optimizing daily asset and portfolio exposures, and maximizing commercial value within defined risk parameters.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in physical natural gas trading, preferably in cash/daily markets
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Energy, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree a plus
• Deep knowledge of U.S. pipeline systems, scheduling processes, balancing rules, and regional market structures
• Demonstrated track record of P&L generation and commercial value creation
• Strong analytical skills, including comfort with real time decision making under uncertainty
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• High proficiency with trading systems (e.g., Endur, Allegro, Trayport) and market data tools
