We are seeking a Safety & Risk Control Consultant based in NY, NJ, or CT to support our industry-leading team. In this role, you will deliver effective, innovative risk control solutions to NFP clients as part of our Safety and Risk Consulting team.
Requirements
- Experience in Safety and Risk Control with a property/casualty insurance carrier, broker or consultant
- Conduct property risk control surveys, including evaluation of physical hazards, fire protection, life safety, and organizational controls
- Evaluate and improve fleet safety programs, including driver training, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, regulatory compliance, and vehicle-related loss control strategies
- Implement safety programming and risk management programs for a variety of commercial industry segments, including the construction industry
- Conduct safety and loss control surveys of clients' operations with proficient understanding of exposures and controls, across all industries
- Analyze risk exposures, loss trends, and effectiveness of safety controls and develop recommendations and service plans designed to reduce loss frequency
- Prepare written report of findings and recommendations for corrective actions
- Knowledge and experience in safety and risk management training programs at the management, supervisory, employee and regulatory compliance level
- Ability to locate, interpret, and apply relevant local, state, and federal rules, regulations, and standards like OSHA, NFPA, DOT, and FMCSA
- Strong data analysis skills
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using safety and risk control web-based systems, platforms, and applications
- Proven safety and risk control training and public speaking experience
- Excellent written communication skills
