Applications Engineer - West Coast

Nidec is seeking an Applications Engineer to provide technical sales and application support to the Nidec Control Techniques field sales staff promoting sales of Products and Services to meet the Company’s sales objectives.

Requirements

• Four-year technical engineering degree BSE, BSEE, BSEET, BSME, BSMET required or equivalent
• Five years + of engineering/selling automation solutions
• Experience with Drives and/or Motion Control is highly preferred, including PLC’s and motion controller
• Proficient in Motion Control Programming with both servo drive systems and vector drive systems
• Familiarity with IEC61131 programming platforms
• Experienced in implementing servo drives and VFD’s
• Familiarity with industrial communications protocols, including EtherCAT, Ethernet IP, Mobus, and Profinet
