The Senior IT Systems Administrator role is to plan and implement the design, installation, and connectivity of computer and network systems to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT assets.
Requirements
- Formal Education & Certification: Four-year university degree or college diploma in the field of computer science and/or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications in relevant areas, e.g. Microsoft Associate/Expert, Cisco CCNA, a plus
- Knowledge & Experience: Exceptional technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, bridges, switches, hubs, modems, network interface cards, and so on.
- Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of AWS administration and Microsoft 365 required, certifications strongly preferred
- Windows Server (2022 and previous)
- Unix systems administration
- Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Scripting, Performance Monitoring
- Knowledge and understanding of system flow charts, data processing concepts, and telecommunications principles.
- Personal Attributes: Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating needs assessments, budgets, and so on.
- Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
- The ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
