Job Description
Serves primarily as an engine room watch stander and works with the maintenance department to ensure mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and equipment on the vessel are maintained to the highest level of operational standards.
Requirements
- Recognized Marine/Engineering qualification from Maritime college or equivalent.
- Valid Unlimited 2nd Engineer or Chief Engineer motors.
- 5+ years of experience working with IFS.
- Offshore survival and medical certificates as mandated by government/client regulations are required.
- Basic Preventive Maintenance Systems (PMS) knowledge.
- Must be able to work without constant supervision.
- Must be self-sufficient in trouble shooting and repairing systems.
- Strong experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of A/C drive power generation systems in diesel-electric and mechanical propulsion systems.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance, operations of electronic automation.
