Product Engineer

As a Product Engineer at Nokia, you will work with R&D, EMS partners, and subcomponent vendors to introduce new products, ramp production, and provide sustaining engineering for the life of the product. You will ensure designs are manufacturable and provide support to mass production to meet NOKIA quality, yield, and delivery requirements.

Requirements

• Work with EMS and subcomponent suppliers to understand their DFX requirements.
• Engage R&D to close any DFX issues.
• Drive technical activities to ensure supply chain readiness.
• Manage and execute the prototype and pre-series plans.
• Support the model's material procurement to assure the model's delivery schedule.
• Manage the ECO implementation, issue and manage DCO/Deviations.
• Provide technical assessment or industrial qualification builds at EMS.
• Monitor quality performance at EMS and field and take corrective action when necessary.
• Work with the EMS and Development to address any yield issues.
• Support EMS as needed with product manufacturing technical issues and address any product technology issues impacting production by leveraging the NOKIA relevant resources.
• Attend and proactively contribute to the dedicated Quality Working Group and Tiger Team.
• Analyze root cause of technical issues related to Manufacturing and drive corrective action plans.
• Assure manufacturing and Industrialization best practices are defined and followed at EMS.
• Ensure that the most cost-effective manufacturing processes and procedures are used.
• Ability to work in a technical lead role independently and with global cross-functional teams.
