The Database and Development Operations Associate plays a critical role in advancing the organization’s fundraising and stewardship efforts by managing donor data systems and ensuring a high-quality, donor-centered experience across all touchpoints.
Requirements
- Manage and maintain the organization’s donor database/CRM, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
- Establish and enforce data entry standards, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee gift processing, acknowledgments, and reconciliation in coordination with finance staff.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support fundraising strategy, donor retention, and leadership decision-making.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks related to donor engagement and revenue.
- Manage database integrations with online giving platforms, email marketing tools, and other systems.
- Support annual, major gifts, grants, events, and campaigns through data management and reporting.
- Prepare donor lists, mailing files, and segmentation strategies.
- Assist with moves management tracking and portfolio support for major gift efforts.
- Document processes and provide training to staff on database use and donor data best practices.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws, ethical fundraising standards, and organizational policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of donor information.
- Stay current on trends and best practices in nonprofit data management, donor experience, and fundraising technology.
