Job Description
The British College of Brazil is seeking an Academic to join their team. The role involves planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality Physical Education lessons, managing the classroom and sports environment, and contributing to extracurricular activities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field, teaching qualification, and experience teaching PE in Primary years.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field with teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or equivalent)
- Proven experience teaching PE in Primary years
- Strong curriculum knowledge and understanding of effective PE teaching strategies
- Ability to use assessment data to improve student outcomes
- Knowledge of EAL strategies to support non-native English speakers
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- High level of personal integrity and professionalism
