The Head of Secondary is responsible for leading the secondary school, creating a positive and professional culture, and ensuring the cognitive, emotional, and physical development of every student, as well as the professional development of all members of the faculty and staff. The ideal candidate should have a master's degree in Education Administration and/or Leadership, minimum 5 years of experience in an international school with IBDP & IGCSE program, and be a bilingual Spanish/English native speaker.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an international school with IBDP & IGCSE program
- Minimum earned master's degree and/or recognized Certification (e.g. PTC) in Education Administration and/or Leadership
- Bilingual Spanish/English native speaker
- Proficiency in computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
- Minimum of three (3) years of administrative supervisory or management experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful, full-time, classroom teaching experience
- Previous International-American school experience
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proactive and willingness to take on multiple tasks
- High levels of personal integrity
- A flexible and positive approach to work
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and able to prompt others to ensure deadlines are achieved
- Adaptable to work in a fast-paced ever-changing environment
