Secondary English Teacher

We are looking for an experienced teacher of English to join our team at the British International School of Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in English, a teaching qualification, and considerable teaching experience. They will be able to create a classroom culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved, and be able to develop new ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community.

• Ability to clearly articulate and evidence efficacy of responsive practice to affect student learning
• Ability to clearly articulate and evidence professional growth, both academic and pastoral
• Continued interest in educational research and further professional development
• Investment in collaboration
• Ability to communicate clearly through varied platforms and within different contexts to a range of audiences
• Experience of and, or interest, in curriculum design
• Experience of EAL/SL English teaching at IGCSE and/or KS3 level (a CELTA qualification would be advantageous)
• Experience of teaching Media Studies at IGCSE and/or A Level
