The Special Educator is responsible for supporting students with diverse learning needs by providing individualized learning strategies, interventions, and inclusive classroom support to help them achieve their academic potential.
Requirements
- Identify and support students with learning difficulties and special educational needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on student assessments.
- Provide individualized or small group support to students requiring additional learning assistance.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement inclusive teaching strategies.
- Monitor student progress and maintain documentation related to interventions and assessments.
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress and support strategies.
- Work closely with counselors, teachers, and school leadership to promote an inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in school meetings, training programs, and professional development activities.
