Commissaire, Canada (h/f/d)

The Commissaire role directly supports the company's mission to develop and provide clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. As a Commissaire, you will test, analyze, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components and identify defects in wind turbines to perform repairs during the commissioning phase of a wind farm project.

Requirements

• Commission and ensure the operation of Nordex wind turbines using a series of documented policies and procedures.
• Perform independent analysis of failures and eliminate possible problems to find the root cause.
• Test electrical and mechanical protectors.
• Document and report technical issues, failures, component defects, daily activities, and other performance data in a timely manner and in accordance with the company's procedures.
• Inventory, identify spare parts and other materials needed, and initiate the procurement process in coordination with the site manager.
• Manage and be responsible for Nordex's material, tools, and assets.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, support weights up to 100 pounds, and wear complete personal protective equipment.
• Must meet the weight requirement of the safety equipment, 260 lb or less.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical exam administered by a medical examiner to ensure the ability to perform tasks safely and meet the physical requirements of the job.
• Ability to travel within Canada and abroad to project sites and for business needs (70% to 90% of travel) and ability to obtain a passport.
• Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy.
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 23 kg (50 pounds), climb vertical ladders, and work at heights above 100+ meters (300+ feet). Ability to respect specific weight limits of 120 kg (265 lb) maximum to use climbing equipment.
