Job Description
The Commissioner will test, analyze, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components of wind turbines, identify defects, and perform repairs during the commissioning phase of a wind farm project. The role will also involve performing retrofits and supporting Operations and Maintenance functions when not assigned to an active project.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical two-year college degree or at least two years of electrical trade experience
- 1–2 years of comparable experience and training in the wind industry
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fiber optics, and their function and repair
- Competent in switching of various types of switchgear
- Ability to analyze and solve problems independently
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to prioritize work, multi-task efficiently, meet deadline obligations, prepare reports, and outline best practice
