Job Description
The Grid Engineer is responsible for technical execution of grid connection workstreams for utility-scale windfarms. Operating across the full project lifecycle, the Grid Engineer performs complex power system modelling and manages technical documentation required for successful grid integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems
- 2 years of experience in grid engineering or power systems, ideally within the renewable energy sector
- Demonstrated experience with grid connection processes in the NEM
- Good knowledge of the NER, GPS, and AEMO/NSPs connection processes
- Good knowledge in power system modelling tools (PSSE, PSCAD, PowerFactory)
- Good knowledge of electrical dynamics of grids and electrical machines
- Good analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work and engage in an international environment liaising with Headquarters Team
