Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience or more (preferred)
- Bilingual in French and English
- Knowledge of technical standards and their application (ASTM, AWS, IEC, ISO)
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to interact with people at all levels, including Nordex suppliers
- Excellent communication skills and proactive attitude
- Experience in quality management/control
- ASQ certification and certified ISO auditor (preferred)
- Analytical skills - ability to draw conclusions and formulate recommendations based on collected data
- Experience in wind turbine assembly (preferred)
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English and communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and understand plans and schematics to develop procedures, validate activities, and identify/ mitigate risks
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, climb stairs, hear via short-range radios, visual acuity (depth perception, field of vision, color differentiation), ability to bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl if necessary, as well as hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to climb to heights of 60 to 130 meters and supervise work in confined spaces
- Work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Travel required 90-100%
- Normal working conditions for a construction environment
- Ability to travel to Canada and internationally to project sites and business, with possibility of obtaining a passport
- Must be able to work in Canada without the company's sponsorship
- Driving is an essential function of the job
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy
- Ability to meet Canadian legal requirements for pre-employment screening
- Must pass a pre-employment medical examination to confirm ability to perform the duties of the job safely
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding and commitment to safety protocols and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all company regulations and policies
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks
- Correctly use safety equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots, hard hat). Loose clothing and jewelry are prohibited
