Senior Designer, Transportation

As a Senior Designer in NORR’s Transportation Studio, you will develop design solutions for aviation, transit, and multimodal hub solutions. You will collaborate with other disciplines and have opportunities to coordinate the design through all phases of the project.

Requirements

• Compiles information from reports and published documents; evaluates and analyzes the information to understand broad requirements of project
• Develops architectural designs, to ensure an exemplary solution is delivered that meets quality parameters, project timelines and budgetary requirements
• Coordinates design intent with other disciplines
• Integrates engineering requirements, site surveys and field review information, adhering to applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements
• Prepares design reports, drawings and models following office standards
• Performs site visitations to determine compliance with construction documents; identifies any deviations and liaises with owner and contactor to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Reviews project products, services, and shop drawings to ensure adherence to project documents, relevant jurisdictional codes and corporate quality controls
